Apple Day of Action Leafleting Instructions
- If at Cupertino or NYC locations, please sign in, as instructed.
- Greet individuals entering the premises and offer them a leaflet. If someone declines, don’t try to force the leaflet on them.
- Do not carry signs. Do not turn the leaflet distribution into picketing.
- Do not leave leaflets on the ground.
- Once the event is over, please help clean up, including picking up discarded leaflets.
- Do not make excessive noise. In no event should you threats or slurs, or engage in other types of harassment.
- Do not block entrances or exits.
- Do not try to stop individuals or vehicles from entering or leaving the facility, or otherwise obstruct traffic.
- Be cooperative with law enforcement agents.
- If a security guard, police officer or manager asks you to leave, explain:
- You are exercising your First Amendment and statutory rights to participate in a labor action on behalf of the WGA.
- You have been peaceful and orderly, and you have not blocked anyone’s access to any area outside or inside the premises.
- Contact the WGA if questions arise while leafleting.
- Send photos from the action to the WGA.
- You are welcome to leaflet stand-alone Apple locations on your own, but to focus our message, avoid leafletting stores in malls.
